Happy 1st day of May, Montreal!

Montreal, April in weather has been quite unpredictable with its highs and lows, like the unexpected snow we had just last week. Fortunately, May is expected to bring more stable conditions without such surprises.

Here’s your official weather report for the month of May:

Even though temperatures are on the rise, unfortunately, cloudy skies are forecasted to dominate most of the month, with occasional rain showers expected.

Throughout the month, the average temperature will start around 13 degrees Celsius and gradually rise to approximately 20 degrees Celsius by mid-May.

Rain will be pretty heavy unfortunately but there will be a few good days of sunshine and warmer temperatures.

AccuWeather predicts that the Victoria Day long weekend will be sunny until Victoria Day itself, which is expected to be rainy. The final week of May is anticipated to be the sunniest and warmest, with nearly daily sunshine.

In general, we are relieved to have the snow behind us, but remember to invest in a quality umbrella for the rainy days ahead!
